🍷 Orca – Marrenon | AOP Ventoux
The Ventoux of great years, from very old Grenache vines
Orca is not a cuvée produced every year. Marrenon reserves it for vintages deemed of sufficient quality to express the full potential of its old Grenache vines. This selection gives rise to a red wine of character, marked by sour cherry, blackcurrant and raspberry, with nuances of blonde tobacco and sweet spices. Its aging in French barriques complements its rich texture and smooth tannins, while the finish reveals notes of garrigue and roasting. A gourmet cuvée for lovers of deep reds seeking a bottle crafted down to the smallest detail.

🌿 Terroir and expertise:
Orca comes from the southern slopes of Mont Ventoux, on particularly stony clay-gravel plots. Cool nights and the temperature difference between day and night promote the gradual ripening of the grapes.
The Grenache grapes, harvested very late in mid-October, come mainly from very old vines trained to low yields. After a long maceration of 20 to 30 days, the wine is aged in French barriques.
Marrenon thus seeks a silky structure and a deep aromatic expression without losing the identity of Grenache.
