Domaine Vincendeau: Refined and mineral expression of Chenin Blanc from Anjou

🔍 Main features:

• Vintage : 2019

• Estate : Founded in 2014 by Liv Vincendeau on the slopes of Rochefort-sur-Loire. The viticulture is organic (or even biodynamic): weeding by horse, manual pruning, manual harvesting, and controlled yields.
  

• Appellation : AOP Anjou Blanc, Loire Valley

• Grape variety : Mainly Chenin Blanc, with a hint of Cabernet Franc and Grolleau Noir depending on certain batches.
  

• Terroir & Vines : Vines planted in 1941, in "liberated vines" mode without trellising, on schist soils of the Corniche angevine. Work carried out using animal traction; mass selection, co-planting on mother plants to preserve the identity of the place.
  

• Vinification & Aging : Aged for 18 months in new Tronceau barrels (400 L). The bouquet is particularly concentrated.
  

• Alcohol content : 14%

👁️ Sensory profile:

• Color : Light gold, dazzling with purity (interpretation consistent with the style of the vintage).

• Nose : Very concentrated, expressive of ripe fruits (apricot, peach) with a very present slate minerality.
  

• Palate : Dry and deep, with a strong structure and chalky minerality. The material is dense, balanced, and of great purity.
