🍷 Chemin des Garennes 2019 – Château Capion

An intense and distinctive Terrasses du Larzac, with a long, spicy finish

Château Capion's Chemin des Garennes reveals the full personality of the great red wines of Terrasses du Larzac. Its Syrah-dominant blend combines the richness of Grenache with the structure of Mourvèdre and the finesse of Cinsault. On the nose, ripe black fruits and garrigue aromas open up to a spicy palette in which pepper plays a special role. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and voluptuous, supported by structured tannins and a beautiful persistence. The finish reveals notes of wild strawberry and sour cherry that add a fruity touch to this characterful red.

🌿 Terroir and expertise:

Located in Aniane, in the heart of Terrasses du Larzac, Château Capion works its plots while taking into account the diversity of their clay-limestone soils.

The four grape varieties are vinified separately in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks after cold skin maceration. Temperatures are controlled between 18 and 20°C to support aromatic extraction.

Twelve months of aging combines stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, allowing the wine's body and complexity to develop while preserving its Mediterranean identity.
