An exceptional wine from a 2-hectare plot selection at the Mangot estate, produced by Karl & Yann Todeschini. The 2016 vintage, dubbed Distique 9 , embodies the harmonious fusion of grape varieties and the vibrant expression of the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru terroir.

• Age & density : Vines ~40 years old, density of 6,000 vines/ha

• Culture : Organic (since 2009), grassy soil work, plowing, compost and manure .

• Harvest : Manual, optimal maturity, sorting on a vibrating table, destemming and transfer by gravity.

📦 Vinification & Aging:

• Vinification :

  • 50% fully aged in barrels, 50% with punching down

  • Cold pre-fermentation maceration, gentle and slow extractions

• Breeding :

  • 14–16 months in barrels (50% new, 50% wine)

  • Bottled at the château after 20–22 months

• Eye : Deep and intense red.

• Nose : Blackcurrant, blackberry, violet, sweet spices, woody notes, cocoa, coffee and incense.
